Maggie
I adopted Maggie in 2004. Her age was estimated at 4 years old, but she was later diagnoesed with cataracts and hearing loss and her age was then estimated to be 8 to 10 yrs old. But it worked out because, had someone known her age, she may never have been adopted.
And...Maggie gave me more joy in 4 years that I could have ever imagined. She taught me so much about life and love .. and she helped me to grow up. Maggie had such a huge impact on the person I have become. We were destined to be in each other's lives.
Thank you for bringing us together.
A couple years after I adopted her, my fiance at the time moved in. It was a rough start, but they eventually developed a close bond as well. I know she touched his life too.
The Maggie girl will be missed as much as she was loved, by so many.
I pray she knows how much she means to us.
Thanks
Leah (and Jake) Scott
Baby
Baby was found extremely emaciated and appeared to be in active labor because of her huge belly and labored breathing. She was euthanized this morning due to a massive tumor and advanced heartworm disease that was affecting multiple organs. It is highly likely that had her owner kept her on monthly heartworm preventative and spayed her, she'd would be alive and healthy and still gracing the world with her wonderful, sweet presence. She was approximately 3 yrs old. Please share Baby's story to get the word out about the importance of heartworm prevention and spay/neuter.
And yes...she is a purebreed German Sheperd. Purebreed dogs are abandoned, neglected, and even dumped at local shelters everyday.
