"Maude is a super - affectionate people pleaser!
Maude loves playing fetch, but is not aware of how strong she is. She would do best in a home with no small children and where she could be the only fur baby...she put in a request for sleeping in the bed!
She is crate-trained and housebroken, and responds well to firm and consistent verbal commands. She knows how to sit, stay, and lay down, and walks well on a leash once she gets over her initial excitement. "
Maude even high-fives and rolls over for dinner. *See the video here on her profile!*
Maude would be a great jogging companion for an active person, and will even cuddle after a workout. Some of Maude's "energy and excitement" may be from being in a home with too many other dogs, as foster care is just a life-saving situation at times, not an ideal one. With that said, we are likely not seeing Maude's highest potential as a canine companion.
Maude is current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Current on heartworm preventative and flea preventative.

Dog Adoption Application
Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).
**Local adoptions preferred (within 1-2 hrs of the Greater New Orleans area), but please contact us if you live outside of this area, as exceptions are sometimes made on an individual basis depending on the dog or circumstances. We do not ship animals, as a part of our adoption process is for the potential adopter(s) to meet the dog to assess if he/she is a match for the family.
