This is Pawl Harvey from the PAS Newsroom. Our guest today is a 7-and-a-half-month-old fawn looker, known for his killer eyebrows and lively disposition. A warm welcome to Crusoe.
Crusoe, I know you are A busy puppy, so let’s get to it, with some rapid-fire questions.
Other dogs in your foster home:
They are cool. A medium boy and small girl. I am the biggest dude at 45 lbs.
Cats in your foster home:
I try to get some butt-sniffs in, but when they hiss…I’m outta there. You can never be too careful.
Human puppies:
Love ‘em. There is an 8-year-old in my foster place, and he is great. He can really keep up with me, because you know, he's the same age as me in dog years. I like the energetic ones. I do sometimes get too excited and do that mouthy thing we do with our kind, but my human foster mom corrects me, and then I remember I can’t do that with the humans. I personally think that forgetting he isn’t a dog is just a testament to how cool he is.
Favorite toy:
Yeah, all of them. Kong or similar is my favorite brand because I can just chew that flimsy stuff to bits.
The crate:
What’s not to love? It’s a house within a house. It’s like having my own room. My foster mom plays lullabies while I sleep. So, yeah tunes in my crib (pun intended).
Pottying in the crate:
Ew, gross. What? No way, dude.
Best physical trait:
Besides the eyebrows, my eyes. I do this thing with them that gets the humans all melty on the inside. Watch… see what I mean?
Best personality trait:
I try to do goofy in that endearing way the humans tend to like. It helps to cover up that I am still a little uncoordinated in this puppy bod. But, I can jump straight up in the air, and I stick the landing. It is pretty graceful if I say so myself.
What needs polishing:
Yeah, I’d have to say I don’t really get the leash thing. But, we haven’t worked on that too much. I do look forward to going to a basic training class with my new humans, wherever they are. I hear it’s lots of fun and a great way to get to know each other.
Well, thanks for stopping by, Crusoe. Can you let everyone know how to get in touch with you to maybe do a meet and greet or something?
Thanks, for having me, Pawl! Folks can fill out a request for a meet and greet here: bit.ly/PASDogAdoptApp
Adoption includes vetcheck, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Current on heartworm preventative and flea preventative.
Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).
**
Local adoptions preferred (within Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes). We do not ship animals, as a part of our adoption process is for the potential adopter(s) to meet the dog to assess if he/she is a match for the family.
