Looking for a sassy snuggle bug? You may have met your match with Ponyboy...in more ways than one. The sweet boy with a heart of gold wants your shoulder to rest his head on while you tell him he's the bestest boy. If you, however, are not ready, willing, and able to cater to his every whim, he will demand your obedience in his outside voice.
Ponyboy loves people. All of them, though this puppy toddler may be a little much for human toddlers. He also tolerates other dog indifferent dogs. He is not a fan of pushy puppers, though, and will act as tough as possible to discourage close contact. He does warm up to some eventually, but is probably not the best fit for a home looking for a doggy playmate. Ponyboy needs a person just as strong-willed as he is. Someone who can ignore his temper tantrums and reward his evil genius. He is very smart...and very stubborn. But with the proper direction and motivation, we know his Ponyboy heart will stay gold...
Ponyboy is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is current on flea preventative and heartworm preventative.
*Before applying for a puppy under 6 months old, please note that we are looking for homes where someone is home frequently, or for those applicants who work 8 hr work days, we ask that you have made arrangements for someone to come home at least once during the day to allow the dog to go out for a potty break. Puppies should remain socialized to other dogs in their formative stages, so homes that can provide exposure to fully vaccinated and healthy well-behaved adult dogs is strongly preferred.
*Local adoptions (New Orleans and surrounding parishes) preferred. We do NOT ship animals

Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish).
